Join us at our monthly upcycling workshops! Led by award winning textile designer, weaver, and sustainability advocate Ashley, our workshops offer a unique opportunity to learn, create, and connect in a vibrant community setting.
What to Expect:
During our workshops, you’ll delve into the art of upcycling, breathing new life into discarded materials and weaving waste. Guided by Ashley, you’ll explore the decorative technique couching to transform deadstock fabrics & yarns into eco-friendly heart themed artworks & patches, taking away skills to upcycle your own clothes.

Who Can Attend:
Our workshops are open to all skill levels, from beginners to experienced crafters. Minimum age for these workshops is 18.

- Duration: Each workshop lasts 1.5 hours, providing ample time to learn, experiment, and connect including time at the end to network with fellow participants.
- Location: Held at the education space at Cockpit Arts, conveniently located in Deptford, South East London.
- Price: Tickets are priced at £25 per person, inclusive of all materials, snacks, and soft drink

- Next Workshop Date: Sunday 26th May 2024
- Time: Workshop begins at 12pm until 1:30pm with time afterwards to connect, we suggest arriving 10-15 mins before the workshop starts

By booking a ticket you acknowledge and agree to these terms.
- Booking and Payment:
- Participants must book and pay for their workshop ticket in advance to secure their spot.
- Payments are non-refundable, but may be transferable to another individual on the same date or used on a future date with prior approval from the organizer.
- Attendance:
- Participants are expected to arrive on time for the workshop. Latecomers may not be admitted, and no refunds or credits will be issued for missed sessions.
- If a participant is unable to attend a workshop, they must notify the organizer as soon as possible.
- Health and Safety:
- Participants are responsible for their own health and safety during the workshop. They must follow any safety instructions provided by the organizer and use workshop materials and equipment responsibly.
- The organizer reserves the right to refuse participation or remove any participant from the workshop if they pose a risk to themselves or others.
- Photography and Videography:
- By attending the workshop, participants consent to being photographed or filmed for promotional purposes. If a participant does not wish to be photographed or filmed, they must inform the organizer.
- Intellectual Property:
- All workshop materials, including instructional content and handouts, are the intellectual property of the organizer and may not be reproduced or distributed without permission.
- Participants retain ownership of any original creations made during the workshop, but may be asked to grant the organizer permission to use images of their work for promotional purposes.
- Cancellation and Changes:
- The organizer reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a workshop in the unlikely case of unforeseen circumstances . In such cases, participants will be notified as soon as possible, and alternative arrangements may be offered.
- Liability:
- The organizer is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury incurred by participants during the workshop, except in cases of negligence or misconduct on the part of the organizer.
- Participants are responsible for any personal belongings brought to the workshop, and the organizer is not liable for any loss or damage to these belongings.
- Privacy Policy:
- The organizer may collect personal information from participants for the purpose of workshop registration and communication. This information will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws and will not be shared with third parties without consent.
